Finally the 2012 Olympics are here and countdown begins for the showjumping which commences next week.

Ed has booked his ticket and will take great interest and pride in watching homebred stallion Flexible (ISH) performing with Rich Fellers on the American team. It's an exciting time for Punchestown House where Flexible was born and reared until, as a 6 yr old, he was sold to Rich.

Susan Finnerty of the Irish Field reports on the recent success of Rich Fellers and Flexible in their nomination to the US team for the London 2012 Olympics and the boost in rankings for Edward & Catherine and Irish breeders in general.

"Flexible and Rich Fellers' blaze of glory continues after their two wins at the final observation event at Spruce Meadows last weekend clinched the veteran pair's team place. Currently ranked in 20th place in the WBFSH individual show jumping horse rankings the 16-year-old chestnut stallion was bred by Co Kildare's Edward and Catherine Doyle and is one of his sire's - Cruising - several olympic hopefuls."
